KAZAKHSTAN
The Kazakhstan office was established in 2003, following the major project of wellness center in Almaty. Since then, it has developed into one of the leading design and project management practices in the country with several commissions, not only in Almaty, but also in Astana, Karaganda and Atyrau. Alexander Timev leads young and enthusiastic team of 9 architects and engineers, project coordinators in other locations through Kazakhstan. Close working cooperation between the Kazakhstan and Bulgarian offices led to establishment of Sofia-based design team working on Kazakhstan commissions, which already consists of several designers with good command of Russian and Kazakhstan design and construction standards. Our activities include development and construction consultancy, budgeting and cost management, conceptual design, basic and detail design, procurement, construction supervision, project management, and commissioning. Besides, Bates Kazakhstan is able to prepare all documentation necessary for obtaining planning, building, and operational permits. We have excellent relationships with local authorities throughout the country, which is a valuable asset in minimizing the time span of obtaining planning and building permits. From the beginning of 2004, the Almaty office renders professional services in Uzbekistan as well.
